NASHVILLE, TN [Wednesday Apr.11.2007] /Mix103FM.com/ -- After topping the Country chart last week, Tim McGraw's "Last Dollar" keeps doing great things like an incredible 81 to 13 on the Hot 100 Billboard singles chart.
The title sets the record by a solo country male artist on the Hot Digital Songs for the highest debut (#9) and the highest sales sum (56,500 downloads). It also marks the first track since Garth Brooks "Lost In You" in 1999 to reach the top 15 on the Hot 100. Billboard noted McGraw continues his streak of 10 consecutive top 5 albums with "Let It Go" debuting at no. 1.
Tim says he's glad to launch an new album done with his band because it represents another step in quality for all of them, "Yea, I mean it's cool stuff. I mean I'm very excited to get it out, of course, the band played on all of it again because it always gives it a fresh sound to me. And a great collection of songs, got one cover on there "(Eddie Rabbitt's "Suspicions"), that's really cool I like a lot. It's a, I think it's just a notch up. Like always say, 'you try to get better every album,' and I think we're continuing the progress so to speak."
